We worship the three-eyed One, 
who is fragrant and who nourishes all.
Like the fruit falls off from the bondage of the stem, 
may we be liberated from death, from mortality.

The Maha Mrityunjaya is a powerful and ancient Sanskrit mantra recited in praise of Lord Shiva to protect, heal and overcome the fear of death. 

Maha means great
Mrityu means death
Jaya means victory or triumph

 Maha Mrityunjaya is known as the Death-conquering mantra.
